1967-1968
The pianist for 3 tracks is attributed to Solal. Being hard to trace any originality in the harmony of his solos,
it is very difficult to identify if this really was Solal.
The staggered chords at (Track 3) 8:42-46 as well as the rhythmic drive in Track 2, however, are somewhat peculiar.
The pianist for the other session (3 tracks) is (said to be) Hampton Hawes. |

with full of jazz spirit. Very much "at home" in Warsaw. |

| This is the best Konitz-Solal duo session IMHO.
Both are fully energizing, aggressive, dynamic and emotional.
Solal's spirit is close to that of the Poljazz album.

1983.11.11
Recorded live at 8th New-Jazz-Festival at "Fabrik", Hamburg.
Konitz is in shape. Better duo performances than "Satori" (1974). However, the Piano solo,
"Fluctuat Nec Mergitur", is definitely the best track.
